PTFA

What does the PTFA do?

The Friends of St Davids Colwinston (aka the PTFA) is a charity that raises money for St David’s School through events and initiatives throughout the year from the Christmas Fair and Discos, movie nights, non-uniform days and much, much more.

What does the PTFA spend its money on?

The PTFA liaises with the school to identify what equipment and resources are most needed. The purchases/experiences are always aimed to enrich the children's education. For example, we have raised money for IT equipment, PE equipment, resources for reading, and playtime equipment.

How does the PTFA help the school?

The PTFA supports events such as the Christmas Concerts and Summer Sports Day by providing refreshments and additional help on the day. We attend Open Days to show prospective parents our commitment to providing extra resources for our pupils so that they have the very best education. We also provide little treats for the children such as Year 6 leavers’ gifts and summertime ice creams.

How do I get involved in the PTFA?

We are always looking for new committee members and/or support for our fundraisers or events. If you’re unable to give time but you or your business would like to donate funds or prizes for raffles etc, that is also very much appreciated.

If you would like to join in, help out or donate please contact the PTFA at StDavidsColwinstonPTA@gmail.com.
