Our team of governors play a key role in the strategic leadership and management of the school. They work closely with Mrs Morteo and staff to ensure that the school provides a high standard of education.
Governors are responsible for setting the overall vision and values of the school, monitoring its performance, and holding the leadership team to account.
They are involved in decision-making on key areas such as the school’s budget, staffing, and policies. Governors also help ensure that the school complies with relevant laws and regulations, while supporting the school's development plans.
As a church school, the foundation governors have an additional responsibility to ensure that the Christian ethos of the school is maintained. This includes promoting Christian values throughout the school’s environment and curriculum. The admissions committee, typically made up of some of the foundation governors, is responsible for overseeing the admissions process. They ensure that the school’s admissions policy aligns with both legal requirements and the specific ethos of the church school. Together, these governors help foster a learning environment rooted in faith while ensuring that the school remains inclusive and welcoming.
The Governor's role is essential in making sure that the needs of pupils and the local community are met.
