Year 5 - Urdd

Year 5 have enjoyed a Residential to the Urdd Gobiath Centre in Cardiff Bay.

When we arrived we did the 'Faithful Butetown' walk with Father Dean, walking almost 8 miles and learning lots about the diverse and unique world we have. That we are all different, with different beliefs, but that we can all get on together. We then had a tour of Cardiff castle and the museum and enjoyed finding out about how Cardiff has changed over the years. We took the water taxi back to our accommodation ready for a disco and then flopped in our sleeping bags in front of a film.

The next day we were tired and bleary eyed, but we soon blew away any sleepy cobwebs with an adrenaline filled speed boat ride! There were screams of "This is amazing!" and "Best day ever!" to be heard all across Cardiff Bay. We calmed ourselves down with a game of bowling, before leaving the Urdd for a wander around St. Fagans. We were able to visit lots of historic farming sites which complimented our topic really well, and we had an informative talk off the new miller helping us to consider where our food comes from. After a play in the park we were all feeling ready for bed and returned to school to greet our parents.

What a brilliant few days, we are looking forward to our next residential in Year 6 already.

Da iawn Year 5, we had so much fun with you.
