Saving the planet, one action at a time…

We will help children in St. David’s C/W Primary School understand more about our planet and what we can do to protect it and those that live here. We will also spread this message to our village community so they can help too!

Our St David’s C/W Eco Code

• Everyone stop littering,
• Conservation is the key,
• Our plants and minibeasts need a place to be,
• Colwinston needs to be clean every day,
• On when using, off when not!
• Don’t let our planet get too hot!
• Everyone follow our eco-code.

We achieved our Platinum Award and have had this renewed in July 2024. We want to remain a Platinum Eco School and there are things we could all be doing in school and at home.

Our Aims for 24-25

To continue to develop the outdoor learning environments which includes our conservation area, a new outdoor wooden classroom and a Muddy Monday club.

Encourage learners and parents to use safe routes to walk or cycle to school. Our JRSO will ensure we try to be as safe as possible.

Save the amount of water used in the school, at home and in the community.

5 ways you can help to support our planet at home

• Turn off lights when you're not in the room.
• Don't leave taps running any longer than necessary, such as when brushing teeth.
• Reuse items before recycling,
• Donate unwanted items.
• Support local wildlife by planting native flowers in your garden.
