Welcome to the Diversity Dynamos page! The Diversity Dynamos are a passionate group of pupils at St. David’s Church in Wales School dedicated to promoting inclusion, equality, and respect throughout our school community. They work together to celebrate differences, raise awareness about important social issues, and ensure that everyone feels valued and represented.

From organising events to sharing ideas for fostering a welcoming environment, the Diversity Dynamos play a vital role in helping our school become a place where everyone belongs. Their efforts support our commitment to embracing diversity and preparing our learners to thrive as compassionate, ethical citizens in an inclusive world.

Schools of Sanctuary 

We are currently focusing on becoming a School of Sanctuary. We have looked at what could make our school more welcoming and what resources we have in school to help us to understand what seeking sanctuary means. 

A school of Sanctuary is 

•  A school that educates the whole school community about the experiences and realities of people who have been forced to flee to foster understanding, connection and solidarity.
• A school that fosters a culture of welcome and safety where every child can thrive, including those seeking safety.
• A school that plays an active role in building a culture of welcome by connecting with and supporting local refugee organisations, collaborating with other institutions to raise awareness and advocate for a kinder approach towards those seeking safety.
