PTFA Literacy Festival
Our PTFA truly outdid themselves with an incredible array of events during their recent Literacy Festival. This celebration of reading and creativity was packed with exciting activities that sparked both imagination and learning. Children were able to participate in a book swap, where they exchanged their favourite books and discovered new ones to enjoy. One of the festival's highlights was the Roald Dahl Science workshop, which brought the whimsical world of Dahl's stories to life through fun, hands-on experiments. In addition to this, the children had the unique opportunity to meet a talented illustrator, gaining insight into the creative process. The festival also featured a Roald Dahl play, delighting the audience with performances inspired by the author's beloved characters and stories.
As part of the festivities, the PTFA also ran an exciting fundraising event centred around the sale of "Wonder Bars." Each class participated in this fun activity, with two lucky students in each class finding golden tickets hidden inside their bars. Congratulations to the fortunate winners who received amazing hampers as prizes. This fundraising initiative not only provided an opportunity for students to get involved but also raised essential funds for the school, ensuring that these wonderful activities and others like them can continue.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the PTFA volunteers, whose dedication and hard work made the Literacy Festival a resounding success. Their ongoing efforts not only provide our children with memorable experiences but also play a crucial role in supporting the school’s initiatives.
